Don Quixote

Cervantes interests me not for the adventures but for what lies beneath them: a man sees the world other than it is, and goes all the way.

In the cycle Don Quixote is almost always drawn out vertically, thin and awkward. Sancho is round, grounded, closer to the earth. This pair holds the whole series together.

It is not an illustration of the novel but a reflection on what stubbornness looks like in the face of the obvious.
